FAQ

Aerolase Laser — common questions

Is it safe for darker skin tones?

This is the Neo Elite's defining strength, and it's the reason we chose it. Many older lasers target melanin, which makes them genuinely risky on deeper skin tones. The Neo Elite's 1064nm Nd:YAG wavelength combined with its 650-microsecond pulse delivers energy gently and precisely, and it's designed to be safe for all skin types and tones. Your provider will still assess your skin individually before treating — that assessment doesn't get skipped for anyone.

Does it hurt?

It's described as virtually painless. There's no cooling apparatus, no contact with the skin, and no gliding tip — most clients report a warm sensation and not much else. No topical numbing is typically required. Your provider will tell you what to expect for your specific treatment area.

How many sessions will I need?

It depends on your concern and your skin. Laser work is generally approached as a short series rather than a single visit, which is why the series prices are on this page — four sessions for NeoSkin, six for active acne. Your provider will map a realistic plan at your visit. Individual results vary.

Is there downtime?

No downtime. That's a large part of the appeal. Most clients return straight to their day, and some mild temporary redness in the treated area is common and typically settles quickly. Your provider will give you aftercare guidance, including sun protection.

What can it treat?

The Neo Elite is used across 36+ dermatological and aesthetic concerns. The ones we see most often are acne and acne scarring, rosacea and redness, hyperpigmentation and sun damage, and skin aging, tone, and texture. If you're not sure whether your concern is on the list, bring it to a consultation and we'll give you a straight answer.

The details

Aerolase Laser, in full

Meet the laser that skin has been waiting for

The Aerolase Neo Elite uses an advanced 1064nm Nd:YAG wavelength with proprietary 650-microsecond technology to treat 36+ dermatological and aesthetic concerns — from acne and rosacea to hyperpigmentation and the visible signs of aging.

Because it delivers energy gently and precisely, it’s safe for all skin types and tones, virtually painless, and requires no downtime. No cooling, no contact, no gliding tip — just clear, healthier-looking skin, treatment after treatment.

Why the 650 microseconds matter

It sounds like a spec-sheet detail. It’s the whole design.

Most lasers deliver energy over a longer pulse, which means more heat spreads into surrounding tissue — that’s where discomfort, downtime, and the risk to deeper skin tones come from. The Neo Elite’s pulse is short enough to deliver its energy and be gone before that heat has time to travel. Less collateral warmth, less discomfort, and a treatment that doesn’t have to be rationed by skin tone.

It’s also why there’s no cooling apparatus, no numbing routine, and no contact with your skin at all. The laser simply does its work and stops.

Commonly treated

  • Acne & acne scarring
  • Rosacea & redness
  • Hyperpigmentation & sun damage
  • Skin aging, tone & texture
  • and more — 36+ concerns in total

Safe for all skin tones — and that’s not a small thing

If you have deeper skin, you’ve likely been told a laser wasn’t for you, or been treated somewhere that shouldn’t have tried. Older devices target melanin, which is a problem when melanin is what you have. The Neo Elite’s wavelength and pulse structure are designed around that limitation rather than around it being your problem.

Your provider will still assess your skin individually. That part is universal.

NeoSkin by Aerolase®

Radiant, even skin — no downtime. Every skin tone.

NeoSkin is a gentle, contactless laser facial that rejuvenates your skin from the inside out — with no needles, no gels, and no recovery time. Using Aerolase’s advanced 650-microsecond technology, NeoSkin delivers precise light energy deep into the skin to calm redness, fade pigment, refine texture, shrink the look of pores, and stimulate the collagen that keeps skin firm and luminous.

It’s the treatment for anyone who wants clearer, brighter, healthier-looking skin without pressing pause on their life. Most sessions take under 30 minutes, and you can walk out and go straight back to your day.

NeoSkin targets: redness, flushing and rosacea · sun spots, age spots and uneven pigment · dull tone and rough texture · enlarged pores · fine lines and early signs of aging · spider veins and facial veins · skin tags · overall skin tightening and glow.

The Helix difference. Unlike traditional IPL photofacials — which can be unsafe on deeper skin tones — NeoSkin’s technology is proven safe and effective for every skin type and tone. Best results come from a short series, mapped to your skin at your visit. Ideal as a standalone glow-up, or paired with microneedling, HydraFacial, or injectables like Daxxify or RHA as the finishing touch.

One treatment, one price: $249 for the full face, with the neck for $99 more in the same visit. Most skin does best on a short series, which is why four sessions are $849 rather than four times the single price. Other areas — chest, hands, back, arms, legs — start at $149 and are quoted by size at your consult, before anything begins.

NeoClear by Aerolase®

Clear skin — without the prescriptions.

Acne doesn’t have to mean a cabinet full of pills and harsh topicals. NeoClear is an FDA-cleared laser treatment that clears active breakouts at the source — targeting acne-causing bacteria and calming the overactive oil glands that fuel them — while stimulating your skin to heal the marks left behind.

NeoClear helps with: active acne and persistent breakouts · acne-causing bacteria · oil-gland overactivity · post-acne marks, redness and scarring · skin that hasn’t responded to topicals or oral medication.

The Helix difference. No antibiotics, no Accutane, no downtime. Clinically proven to reduce acne and safe on all skin types and tones.

Full face — $199, with the recommended course of six sessions two weeks apart at $899. Chest is the same price; full back is $299, or $1,349 for six. Treating more than one area in a visit takes 20% off the second and third.

Individual results vary; a consultation determines the right plan. Cosmetic only — not a substitute for medical care for severe or cystic acne.

The Helix Total Skin Reset — NeoSkin + SkinPen, one visit

The most complete skin treatment we offer. NeoSkin first, to clear redness, sun spots and broken capillaries and stimulate collagen deep in the dermis. Then SkinPen® Precision microneedling with exosomes and PDRN serum, finished with red-light therapy, to rebuild texture, tighten pores, and soften lines and scars from the surface down. Face and neck, both treatments, everything included. About 90 minutes.

Single treatment — $549. NeoSkin ($249) plus the neck ($99) plus SkinPen ($329) booked separately is $677.

Tighten, lift and firm without surgery: the three-session Reset

If your concern is laxity rather than colour or texture — the jawline that’s softened, the neck that’s starting to crepe, the cheeks that don’t sit where they used to — this is the series we recommend. Skin tightening is a collagen problem, and collagen is built over weeks, not in one visit. Three sessions, four to six weeks apart, give your skin three rounds of the same signal: rebuild.

How the two work together. NeoSkin heats the water in the dermis with 650-microsecond pulses, which triggers new collagen and elastin deep in the skin where laxity starts, without breaking the surface. SkinPen then creates thousands of controlled micro-channels through the surface, and exosomes and PDRN delivered into those channels amplify the repair response. NeoSkin works from the inside out, SkinPen from the outside in — and doing both in one visit means the collagen you build in session one is still remodeling when session two adds to it.

What to expect across the series:

  • After session 1 — a glow within days, smoother texture in one to two weeks. Tightening is just beginning.
  • After session 2 — visible firming along the jawline and neck as the first round of collagen matures.
  • After session 3 — the cumulative result, which continues to improve for three to six months as remodeling completes.
  • Maintenance — one Total Skin Reset every six to twelve months holds it.

Series of 3 — $1,499, more than $500 less than booking each treatment separately. Face and neck, both treatments, exosomes, PDRN and red light included every session. No downtime beyond a day or two of pinkness. Safe for all skin tones.

Best for mild to moderate laxity. If you’re further along, your provider may recommend pairing the series with RHA filler for structural support, or discuss other options at your consult.

What to expect

  1. Consultation. We assess your skin, identify what’s driving your concern, and map a course — the prices are already on this page, so there’s nothing to discover afterward.
  2. Treatment. Quick, comfortable, no numbing, no gel, no contact.
  3. Back to your day. No downtime. Some temporary redness is common and typically settles quickly.
  4. Course and assessment. Skin changes over a series, and we assess candidly over a realistic timeline.

Combining and bundling treatments

Can Aerolase be combined or bundled with other treatments? Yes — and in most cases it makes your results better. Aerolase is contactless, gentle, and has no downtime, which makes it one of the easiest treatments to layer into a plan. It also corrects colour and tone — redness, pigment, sun damage, dullness — which pairs well with treatments that address texture, volume, or lines.

  • Aerolase + HydraFacial — the complete surface-to-depth glow; our most popular same-visit pairing.
  • Aerolase + microneedling — colour meets texture; usually sequenced across a treatment series.
  • Aerolase + Daxxify & filler — the full-face “3D” rejuvenation; laser first, then inject.
  • Aerolase + PRF/PRP — a fully regenerative, all-natural pairing driven by your own biology.

Can these be done in the same visit? Often, yes — Aerolase usually layers into the same appointment as a HydraFacial or injectables. Some pairings, like microneedling, are best sequenced across a treatment plan instead of stacked same-day.

Is it safe to combine treatments? Yes, when planned by a trained provider. Every plan is built around your skin type and your goals.

Are there treatments that shouldn’t be combined the same day? Yes — we don’t stack Aerolase with aggressive chemical peels or ablative resurfacing on the same day. Treatments that need recovery get spaced out.

How do I know which combination is right for me? That’s what the consultation is for. We build the plan around your skin and your goals — and every price is already on this page.

Why Helix

The Neo Elite sits alongside SkinPen microneedling, HydraFacial, and our injectable work — and the right answer for your skin is often a combination, sequenced properly, rather than the one device you walked in asking about. That’s the conversation we’d rather have.

Individual results vary.
