About Dr. Rea
With nearly four decades of medical experience, Dr. Steven Rea brings a rare depth of clinical wisdom and steady, hands-on expertise to the Helix Biowellness team. A proud Galveston-area physician who calls neighboring Tiki Island home, Dr. Rea has spent his career caring for the very community he now serves through regenerative medicine and bio-optimization.
Dr. Rea earned his Doctor of Medicine with Honors from the University of Texas Medical School in Galveston in 1988, before completing his residency in Emergency Medicine at the University of Arkansas for Medical Sciences. He is Board Certified in Emergency Medicine, a Fellow of the American College of Emergency Physicians (F.A.C.E.P.), and an active member of the Texas Medical Association (T.M.A.).
