Dr. Steven Rea, MD

Physician, Regenerative Medicine & Concierge Primary Care

Board-Certified Emergency Medicine Physician · Fellow, American College of Emergency Physicians

With nearly four decades of medical experience, Dr. Steven Rea brings a rare depth of clinical wisdom and steady, hands-on expertise to the Helix Biowellness team. A proud Galveston-area physician who calls neighboring Tiki Island home, Dr. Rea has spent his career caring for the very community he now serves through cutting-edge biohacking and regenerative medicine.

Dr. Rea earned his Doctor of Medicine with Honors from the University of Texas Medical School in Galveston in 1988, before completing his residency in Emergency Medicine at the University of Arkansas for Medical Sciences. He is Board Certified in Emergency Medicine, a Fellow of the American College of Emergency Physicians (F.A.C.E.P.), and an active member of the Texas Medical Association (T.M.A.).

Decades in the fast-paced, high-stakes world of emergency medicine gave Dr. Rea an unmatched ability to think critically, act decisively, and treat every patient with precision and compassion — skills he now channels into the proactive, optimization-focused world of biohacking and regenerative medicine. He is deeply versed in the full spectrum of therapies offered at Helix Biowellness, from hyperbaric oxygen therapy and peptide protocols to hormone optimization and advanced IV/IM therapies, and is passionate about helping patients not just treat an illness, but achieve peak health, longevity, and vitality.

A true local at heart, Dr. Rea has built his life and career on the Texas Gulf Coast. Outside the clinic, he treasures time spent with family, embracing the same balance and vitality he helps his patients pursue every day.

John

Aesthetics & Biohacking

Advanced Practice Critical Care Paramedic · 25 Years in Medicine

John

John’s journey in healthcare began in the military. After serving honorably, he moved into the public sector, where he excelled as an advanced practice critical care paramedic — two decades spent as a field paramedic, instructor, and operations manager, leading from the front of emergency medical services.

After twenty years in public service, John crossed into the private sector, managing government, private, and remote medical contracts. That range gives him a perspective on patient care, emergency medicine, and wellness treatments that few practitioners can match.

With twenty-five years of medical expertise behind him, John now focuses on alternative wellness and advanced aesthetic treatments. He specializes in Botox and neurotoxins, skincare, biohacking, and holistic wellness — and he makes a point of staying at the forefront of what’s new, and of what’s worth your time.

Outside the clinic, you’ll find him traveling, golfing, or fishing, and spending time with his wife, daughters, grandchildren, and dogs.

Heather

Skincare & Aesthetics

BSN, RN · 19+ Years in Patient Care

Heather

With over nineteen years of experience, Heather began her medical journey as a Certified Nursing Assistant, building a solid foundation in patient care. That dedication carried her through a Bachelor of Science in Nursing from Cumberland University in Tennessee — and into some of medicine’s most demanding rooms.

She has worked emergency departments and critical care settings on both ends of the spectrum: remote-access facilities where you improvise with what’s on hand, and Level 1 trauma centers where everything arrives at once. That range gives her a deep understanding of what patients need, whatever the environment.

Today, Heather specializes in skincare, aesthetic treatments, biohacking, and holistic health and wellness — committed to enhancing both health and beauty through innovative wellness solutions.

In her free time, she enjoys traveling, gardening, and beach days, and time with her husband, daughters, grandchildren, and dogs.

Dr. Jeremy Drollinger, MD

Physician, Hormone & Testosterone Therapy

MD · Pediatrics, UTMB Galveston

Dr. Jeremy Drollinger, MD

A life-long Texan, husband and father of two, Dr. Drollinger has been in medicine since high school. He started as an EKG technician at sixteen, moved to an ER technician role in his hometown — where he sharpened the IV skills he still uses — and then spent eight years in a Level 1 trauma centre emergency department in San Antonio.

He studied at Texas Lutheran University while working those shifts, earning a BS in Biology and Spanish Studies with a minor in Chemistry. Medical school followed at St. George’s University in Grenada, then a Pediatrics residency at UTMB here in Galveston. Trained in pediatrics, he treats patients of every age.

Outside the clinic he travels, scuba dives and plays piano — though mostly he’s with his wife, his sons Grayson and Maverick, and the rest of his family.
