FAQ
Laser skin treatment — common questions
Is it genuinely safe for darker skin tones?
Yes — and this is the Neo Elite's headline advantage. Many older laser platforms carry real risk in richer skin tones because they target melanin indiscriminately. The Neo Elite's 1064nm Nd:YAG wavelength with 650-microsecond pulse technology delivers energy in bursts short enough to act on the target without the surrounding tissue taking on the heat. It is designed to be safe for all skin types and tones. That said, your provider will still assess your skin properly — "safe for all tones" is a property of the device, not a substitute for judgement.
Does it hurt?
It's described as virtually painless. Most clients report a warm, quick snap that's over immediately. There's no cooling apparatus, no contact with the skin, and no gliding tip dragging across your face — which removes most of what makes conventional laser treatment unpleasant.
What can it treat?
36+ dermatological and aesthetic concerns. The ones we see most: acne and acne scarring, rosacea and diffuse redness, hyperpigmentation and sun damage, and skin aging — tone and texture. If your concern is on that list, the laser is likely the right conversation. If it's volume or muscle, it isn't, and we'll say so.
How many sessions will I need?
It depends entirely on what we're treating and how your skin responds. Acne protocols and pigment protocols run differently. We'll map a realistic number at your consultation rather than sell you a package before we've looked at your skin. Individual results vary.
Is there really no downtime?
Correct — no downtime. You may notice some warmth or mild flushing that settles quickly. Most clients go straight back to their day. Sun discipline afterward matters, which in Galveston means an actual hat.
Why isn't your laser pricing published when everything else is?
Fair question, given we publish every other price on this site. The plain answer: we don't have final numbers confirmed yet, and we're not going to fabricate a medical price to fill a card. Call 409.498.5011 and we'll quote you on the spot. The moment it's set, it goes on this page like everything else.
The details
Laser skin treatment, in full
Meet the laser that skin has been waiting for
The Aerolase Neo Elite uses an advanced 1064nm Nd:YAG wavelength with proprietary 650-microsecond technology to treat 36+ dermatological and aesthetic concerns — from acne and rosacea to hyperpigmentation and the visible signs of aging.
Because it delivers energy gently and precisely, it’s safe for all skin types and tones, virtually painless, and requires no downtime.
No cooling. No contact. No gliding tip. Just clear, healthier-looking skin, treatment after treatment.
The 650 microseconds, and why they matter
Skip this section if you like. But if you’ve ever been told a laser wasn’t an option for your skin, it’s the section that explains why that’s changed.
Conventional laser platforms deliver energy over relatively long pulses. The target absorbs it — and so, to varying degrees, does everything around the target. In lighter skin that’s manageable. In richer skin tones, where there’s more melanin throughout the tissue, it’s a genuine risk: the surrounding skin takes on heat it shouldn’t, and the result can be pigment change rather than pigment correction.
The Neo Elite’s pulse is 650 microseconds — short enough that energy is delivered to the target before surrounding tissue meaningfully heats. That’s the whole trick, and it’s why the device is designed to be safe across all skin types and tones, rather than across some of them with an asterisk.
The absence of a cooling apparatus follows from the same fact. There’s no need to chill skin that isn’t taking on the heat. Which in turn means no contact and no gliding tip — the handpiece doesn’t touch you at all.
What we treat with it
- Acne and acne scarring — active lesions and the aftermath
- Rosacea and redness — diffuse flushing, visible vessels
- Hyperpigmentation and sun damage — the accumulated record of Texas summers
- Skin aging, tone, and texture
- And more — 36+ indications in total
If your concern is on that list, this is a conversation worth having. If it’s volume loss, it’s a filler conversation. If it’s dynamic muscle lines, it’s a neurotoxin conversation. We’d rather route you to the right tool than aim an expensive one at the wrong problem.
Laser versus microneedling — how to tell
This is the question we get most, so here’s the real split:
Laser is for things with a color — pigment, redness, vascular concerns — and for acne. It’s aiming a wavelength at a target.
SkinPen microneedling is for things with a shape — texture, scarring, laxity, the loss of structural collagen. It’s prompting your skin to rebuild.
Plenty of people need both, sequenced rather than stacked. That’s a plan, and plans get made at consultations, not on landing pages.
About the pricing
Every number is on this page, the same as everywhere else on this site.
NeoSkin is $249 for the full face, with the neck $99 more in the same visit, and four sessions at $849 because a short series is what most skin actually responds to. Other areas start at $149 and are quoted by size at your consult. NeoClear for acne is $199 a session, and the recommended six-session course is $899. Targeted vascular and pigment work, laser hair reduction, skin tags and nail fungus are all in the cards above — as is the Total Skin Reset, which pairs NeoSkin with SkinPen in one visit for $549.
Call 409.498.5011 if you’d rather talk it through than read a table.
Why here
The Neo Elite lives in a room that also has SkinPen, the Syndeo HydraFacial, and experienced injectors — inside a physician-guided longevity practice. That means the person recommending a laser has four other tools they could recommend instead, and no particular incentive to pick this one.
That’s a better position to get advice from than a clinic that only owns a laser.
