Why does the evaluation cost $199 when other clinics offer it free?
Because ours isn't a sales appointment. The $199 covers your evaluation, your comprehensive labs, and your first month of medication — so you're paying for bloodwork and treatment, not for the privilege of being pitched. A free hormone consult is free because the clinic expects to make it back, and the thing they make it back on is usually you starting therapy whether or not your labs justify it.
What if my labs come back normal?
Then we tell you they're normal, and TRT isn't your answer. This happens, and it's one of the more useful outcomes of testing rather than guessing. Fatigue, brain fog, and low drive have a long list of possible causes — thyroid, sleep, iron, stress, metabolic health — and testosterone is only one entry on it. That's exactly why the labs come before the prescription.
How long until I feel different?
It varies genuinely by person, and anyone who quotes you a fixed timeline is guessing. Some men report shifts within the first several weeks; for others it's a slower build across months as levels stabilize. We dose gradually rather than chase a fast subjective win, because the goal is a stable, optimized level — not a spike. Individual results vary.
Is this a lifetime commitment?

Are follow-up labs extra?

It's the monitoring that makes this medicine rather than mail-order, which is exactly why we build it into the price instead of billing for it.
Is this injections or pellets?
Injections. This is testosterone injection therapy — Helix doesn't offer pellet implants. Most men self-inject weekly once we've taught them the technique. If you'd rather not, in-office injections are available and an additional fee may apply.
Do I have to live in Texas?
Yes. Texas residency is required for TRT services at Helix. That's a regulatory requirement, not a preference.
